I actually deleted all my previous posts cos they were embarrassing somehow hahahahah.
It was Des's birthday on the 24th so i baked her a cake and wrote a letter(our tradition every year) for her. Wasn't anything grand or what la but i hope she enjoyed it cos she ate 5 slices in 5 minutes lol......
So I decided to blog about the process since there were some pictures.
I used a vanilla cake mix instead of starting from scratch cos i got no confidence in myself lol but here's a pic of the batter in the oven.
While the cake's in the oven, i washed and removed the stem
After probably around 18 minutes, the cake was done
I took the cake out of the oven and put it on the counter to cool. After it cooled down, i sliced the top part of the cake and then ate it cos i didn't need that. Then i sliced the cake into halves so it'll be 2 layered.
Whipped whipping cream to make whipped cream <- lol
I spread whipped cream on the first layer, placed the chopped strawberries on it then spread whipped cream on top of it again
Then i stacked the top layer and spread whipped cream around the whole cake
Stuffed the whipped cream into a piping bag with a star shaped nozzle
Placed 7 halved strawberries on top and then started piping away. My hands were actually trembling lol cos i had to pipe quickly since it was actually slowly melting away. Plus even after that, i did my make up and my hands were still trembling lol....
Candles were from Daiso and des seemed to like them so much that she kept them even though some parts of the candles alr melted. I also dk what's the point of her keeping it
